Edmonton Wedding Venue Review: Yellowhead Brewery

Looking for a wedding venue that's a step up from the norm? One of our new favourite places in Edmonton is definitely the Yellowhead Brewery. Located downtown in an impressive historic building, the character-rich brewery atmosphere is definitely different than your average hotel banquet room.

The exposed brick with white rafters, mixed with the floor-to-ceiling windows into the fascinating brewery area make for a unique and interesting environment that provides an alluring backdrop for any event, even without any additional decor. That said, I've seen it dressed up with hanging lights, vintage-themed centerpieces and plenty of other options, and it is versatile enough to fit perfectly for a variety of decor themes. The existing tables and chairs aren't the eyesore that many couples have to deal with at other venues - no linens or chair cover rentals needed for their simple and neutral wooden fixtures.

Now, it goes without saying that an in-house brewery is going to result in great beer for your guests. And for those who would actually like to feed their guests too, the Yellowhead boasts a complete range of in-house catering options. I can still taste the pulled-pork sandwiches they served as a late lunch last time i worked there...
